The Tyrone Public School System believes the ultimate purpose of education is to help each student become effective citizens in the democracy, and to develop and accept the responsibilities and obligations of good citizenship.
Board of Education District Goals
All students will have the maximum opportunity to learn the skills of reading, thinking, computing and communicating. Improve the achievement level of the school's student population. Integrate study disciplines at each grade level to increase student's understanding of our multicultural world. Provide programs designed to enhance student self-esteem, including, but not limited to preventing harmful addictive behaviors. Provide a school climate that offers a safe, orderly and positive environment. Provide continuing education opportunities for the staff. Provide adequately funded co-curricular programs that allow students to engage in leadership activities.
